Your entry should appear in the shopping cart. You can try again be clicking "Submit Order". Last resort is just to print it off and send to the address on the entry form, with a cheque.

When PayPal processes your payment, it triggers an email. But clicking on the Paypal link to return to Preston Chess can also trigger an email. This is a bug in the software I am using, but I thought it better to risk sending back 2 emails than none! So if you get 2 emails with congress entry details don't worry - you can check the entrants link on the congress page to check that you only entered once.

You get a discount if you are an ECF member via direct membership (paying the ECF directly) or via a Member Organisation (MO). The NMS is the NCCU's MO.

The university have given us permission to park in Fylde Car Park and Computing and Technology Car Park. For directions see the entry form. There are signs up about clamping, but we have been assured its ok. Nobody was clamped last year. Last year it was possible to park outside the front of the building, but we can't guarantee this, but you could ask if you see a parking attendant there.

If you are ungraded and new to competitive chess then you are advised to enter the Standard section. You may find the players who compete regularly are stronger than you expect, and anyway, why not give yourself a chance of winning your first tournament?

Northern Membership Scheme (NMS) is an English Chess Federation (EFC) Membership Organisation (MO). Anyone who joins gets basic ECF membership. Benefits include discounts at congresses, and access to the ECF's Chess Moves magazine online.
